Seeking out professional support is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of personal strength. I believe everyone has their own natural self-healing abilities. I enjoy working alongside individuals as they explore their own abilities. If you choose to work with me, you will find me to be open, honest, non-judgmental, and encourage you to reach your goals.
I have experience and a passion working with adults (18 +) with the following concerns:
Life Transitions
Relationship Difficulties
Self-esteem
Work-life Balance
Personality Disorders
Stress
Anger
Substance Use
My clinical practice is structured around individual needs, and I find myself utilizing a variety of treatment modalities to best fit my client’s individual needs. Although, I often use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, I also value therapeutic approaches that are skill-based and person-centered, while also incorporating mindfulness-based techniques. I also have specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My overall approach is to support patients in being able to promote personal growth and desired change.
When I am out of the office, I love spending time with my husband and our very energetic Siberian Husky. I also enjoy traveling, reading and spending time outside during the beautiful Minnesota summer months.
