Welcome! Life can sometimes feel stressful, overwhelming and difficult to manage. No matter if you're experiencing a recent transition, dealing with a life-long struggle, or somewhere in-between, I am here to help. I am passionate about supporting clients while they face challenges and create positive changes in their lives. People often describe me as down to earth, compassionate and easy to talk to. My goal is to provide a comfortable space where you can heal from past hurt, alter thoughts and behaviors, reduce stress, and improve your overall wellbeing. You can expect me to encourage and challenge you, and work with you to identify and attain goals.
I have experience and a special interest in working with adults eager to make changes surrounding the following concerns:
Life Transitions
Work/Life Balance
Stress
Shame/Guilt
Parenting Concerns
My approach to therapy is holistic, collaborative and specialized to each individual. I believe in the impact of a strong therapeutic connection. I utilize cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused and mindfulness based approaches. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a psychotherapy treatment designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. As well as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), for treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.
When I am not working, I am spending time with my husband and two children! I cherish time with extended family and friends as well. I enjoy going on walks, yoga, watching the Vikings, decorating my home, going “up north,” and reading.
