Life can be complicated and messy. Circumstances may knock us off our feet, making it through the day may feel like too much, or what has always 'worked' may not anymore. No matter what has brought you to therapy, my hope is that we can start a journey that empowers you to move towards where you want to be. If you decide to work with me, you can expect a down to earth and empathetic approach. I believe it is important to provide a space for you to be heard and known, and I will seek to understand your unique collection of experiences, emotions, and worldview. In our time together we can identify and explore specific challenges, process difficult emotions, and create goals that are specific to your needs. I would be honored to work with you and support you on your journey.
My experience is working with individuals of all ages (6-99+) struggling with:
Anger
Emotional Dysregulation
Family Dynamics/Issues
Foster Care
Life Transitions
Mood Disorders
Parenting Challenges
Personality Disorder
Recent Life Stressors
Relationship Issues
Self-Esteem
Self Harm
Suicidal Ideation
Trauma History
I use a variety of approaches in therapy, and have specific training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Children, and play therapy. I believe in utilizing evidence-based therapies while also using our therapeutic relationship and a holistic approach to provide a space for your exploration and healing.
Outside of the office, you can usually find me with friends and family, in the kitchen making new recipes, or somewhere in nature. I like to find adventures, events, or new restaurants in the Twin Cities and will celebrate anything I possibly can.
