Hello! I am so excited that you are interested in starting therapy. It can be hard to take that first step to seek out a therapist, but by doing so, you have already demonstrated motivation and courage to face the challenges in your life. I believe that everyone has the potential to create a life that they enjoy, and I would be honored to assist you on your journey to attaining that. As we work together, I will “Embolden You” to make the changes you want to see in your life.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, strength-based, direct, and non-judgmental. From the beginning, I work to create a space where you feel safe and comfortable sharing information about your life with me. I welcome people of all backgrounds, sexual orientations, gender expressions, and relationship styles. I don’t believe that therapy always needs to be serious, so I incorporate humor to create light moments when appropriate. To meet your goals, we will work together to discover new perspectives and approaches to navigate the issues that you are experiencing. I also have level 1 clinical training in the Gottman Method for couples, which is one of the leading approaches to couples therapy.
I am interested in working with people of all ages (0-99+) who are experiencing:
Interpersonal distress
Stress
Low self-esteem
Adjustment issues
Life transitions
In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my partner and friends doing various activities, including volleyball, bowling, and hiking. On a night in, I like to play card games and board games, or watch a good show or movie.
