Hi, welcome to my page! My name is Sidney, and I am currently a practicum student in the process of getting my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. Starting therapy can be scary, and uncomfortable, and I am here to make that transition easier! I can work with couples and families as well as individuals of all ages, with a variety of concerns, with a special interest in relational and family concerns, and life changes.
My intention for therapy is to create a non-judgmental space where you can feel safe, heard, and accepted. I want you to show up to therapy as your true authentic self, and I intend to show up the same. We will work together to create goals that feel catered to you.
I have a special interest in working with children as well as adults and working with family units, and couples of all backgrounds supporting the following concerns:
Life Transitions
Stage of Life Stressors
Family Dynamics
Sexual Concerns
Relationship Distress
Communication Difficulties
Gender and Sexuality
Infertility
Parenting Concerns/Skills
Adoption and/or Foster Care
Social Skills and Anxiety
Attachment Issues
I use narrative, solution focused, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Gottman lenses to help guide my approach to therapy. I am also certified in PREPARE/ENRICH and Gottman Method Couples Therapy – Level 1 training, which is one of the leading approaches to couples therapy. My goal in therapy is to meet you where you are at and use the best methods to suit your needs!
In my spare time I enjoy walking and playing with my dog, Minnesota weather permitting, rollerblading, crocheting, reading books, or spending time with my family and friends.
