Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here! Reading therapist bios and reaching out for therapy takes an enormous amount of courage and I’m here to support you along the way.
My job as your therapist is to help you navigate distress- while discovering worthiness, purpose and meaning in your life. I will gently push you towards your goals, and challenge you at times, in a way that feels supportive and kind. I will work from the perspective of your values, to help you move through distress with awareness and insight. Working on this will guide you on a safe and nurturing journey that is well-worth taking!
I have experience and a passion working with adolescents and adults with the following concerns:
Interpersonal Distress
Maladaptive Sexual Behaviors
Gender and Sexuality
Sexual Health
Guilt and Shame
Life Transitions
Suicidal Ideation
Trauma
Maladaptive Social Skills
Personality Disorders
Body Image Issues
Low Self-Esteem
Sessions with me include a collaborative approach, intertwining person-centered, skills/strengths-based, and systemic therapies. When treating OCD, I am professionally trained in two evidence-based treatments; Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference Based Cognitive Behavior Therapy (I-CBT).
When I am out of the office, I am spending time with my husband, kids and dog! Finding new playgrounds and parks are a weekend ritual for us. Climbing up slides with my toddler, having picnics, and throwing the frisbee for my dog are all activities that contribute to my happiness!
